Symposia Covenant Church is a part of the Evangelical Covenant Church (ECC), a denomination that is founded by Swedish immigrants to the U.S. in 1885. They were pietists who were persecuted by the Lutheran State Church of Sweden. ECC is now one of the most ethnically diverse evangelical denominations in the U.S. As members of the Evangelical Covenant Church, we refer to ourselves as Covenanters. Here are the things that define our ethos as bearers of the Lutheran pietist tradition:
